    Christina Marrero, ATR-BC, LPC

Since 2011, I've had the privilege of walking alongside individuals on their journey toward healing and self-discovery. My practice has been deeply rooted in supporting neurodivergent individuals of all ages, particularly those who are Autistic or ADHDers, as well as those grappling with anxiety and recovering from spiritual or religious wounds.

I currently work with adults aged 18 and older, focusing on those who are seeking a safe space to nurture their authentic selves. I understand that embracing who you truly are can be challenging, especially when it intersects with the unique experiences of neurodivergence. My goal is to help you identify and heal the wounds of the past while empowering you to find strength and fulfillment in the present.

In my practice, I offer a blend of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), psychodynamic art therapy, and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). This integrated approach allows me to tailor our work together to meet your individual needs. Whether through creative expression or compassionate self-reflection, we'll work together to uncover the resilience and wisdom that lies within you.

I offer therapy to individuals in Philadelphia and the greater Philadelphia area. My intersectional experiences as a queer, neurodivergent, BIPOC inform my approach, helping me to be attuned to the unique challenges and strengths you bring to our sessions.

In addition to my practice, I am an advocate for the use of virtual reality and gaming experiences in therapy. I teach a course on Therapeutic Gaming and guide graduate students through their culminating projects exploring new frontiers in art therapy. As an alumnus of Drexel University's Art Therapy and Counseling program, my own research explored how art therapists engage with and respond to the spirituality of their clients in therapy—a reflection of my commitment to holistic and compassionate care.
